Engineering starts off with a thought or an idea. For example, the camera, it started off by the idea or thought of being able to capture a specific moment forever. Now we are able to take any picture at anytime without really thinking about it,

Engineering is the beginning of a new way of living. Engineering is all around us. The house with a roof over our head, the bed we sleep in, the car we ride in, the phones we constantly use, and the school chairs we sit in for most of our day started off as a pure, simple idea.

For the module 6 my group did, Engineering- Mechanical Systems. First we had to get all the background information about gears, the input and output, and the torque. For challenge 1 we all had to build 3 gears together by the first letter of our last names, since my last name starts with a “T” we did the “Crank and Slider”. This gear is used on Trains. We also did the “Simple Gear” and the “Bevel Gear”. For challenge 2 we had to make a tool to help in the kitchen. My group decided to make an egg beater. After we were done making it, we had to post a video of it on our Instagram page.

Even though I did enjoy doing this module I still don’t think the engineering pathway is for more, but to know that for sure I will have to continue my journey through the engineering modules, which I’m gladly looking forward to.
